YO PRESIDENT’S LETTER

Hope this letter finds everyone healthy and anxious for summer to arrive.  There are a few issues we must bring up.

Lake Safety is the most important issue of the Tri-lakes.  Please advise your family and guests of the swimming and boating rules.  An accident-free year is our goal.  Be sure to take advantage of the coupon farther on in the newsletter and attend the Water Safety Program at School Section Lake on June 7th.

Our next concern is weed control, which we have been investigating the best possible solutions and working on improvements over the past, thanks to the great efforts of Hal Baar and Dick Katke.

Last we’d like to remind everyone of the Fishing Tournament on June 28th, the entry form is located in this newsletter, and don’t forget the bit Pontoon and Boat Parade scheduled for July 5th.  All entries, and we have many decorative contenders, should meet at 5 pm at the north end of Lake Mecosta.

                                                                                                Sincerely yours,

                                                                                                Yo, President

BLUE SPRINGS SUBDIVISION

At the April meeting, Val Gibson gave an update on the Blue Springs Sub Division Law suit. Val, with Alice and Cecil Harters help has retained Jim Samuels to try to get her default set aside.

There was some discussion of Tri Lakes Association looking into a Class Action Suit to have the wetland restored if Val is able to stop Blue Springs from changing the restrictions. At present there is a consent agreement the state is trying to push through which will allow access from all of the area between Harters and Brezinas for 41 back lot owners to have their own docks. It also only asks that a small portion of the wetland be restored with no fines assessed to the developer.   The Tri Lakes Association may want to look at the possibly of a Class Action Suit to force the state to restore the wetland. Anyone in favor of or with information or knowledge of this type of suit is asked to contact Val Gibson or any board member.

We urge all of you to attend the next hearing on April 18, 2003 at 9AM at the Mecosta County Circuit Court. For further information call Val at 972-5000.
