Board Meeting
June 13, 2009


Meeting:  Called to order at 10:00AM, held at Chuck Lewis’s home. In the absence of Dave Cook Marge Brown  acted as President.

Present:  Dave Tesmer, Debby Siebel, Dennis Farmer, Bob Loomer, Chuck Lewis, Marge Brown and Dave Cook via conference call at 11:30AM.

Minutes:   Of March 28, 2009 were read by Dave Tesmer and Debby Siebel. Dave Tesmer motioned to accept the Minutes as read, seconded by Debby Siebel – motion carrier.

Treasurer’s Report:  Read by Debby Siebel, - no motion made to accept the Treasurer’s Report as read.

As of this date there are 53 delinquent assessments and 4 liens. Total delinquent and lien amount is $14,055.55.

Old Business:

DNR, Release of property easement, 911 property address, Boat ramp/dredging, Road damages, 2009 assessment increases, Covenants and Restrictions, PIE&G -  No further discussion needed.

Future Road Treatment:  See New Business.

Pets:  No further discussion needed.

Large Mailings:  There will be 2 mailings per year.  August Mailing will consist of General Membership Meeting Minutes of that year and Budget.  The second large mailing will be in January of following year and will consist of the normal Assessment Notices, Proxies, and Newsletter.  Dividing the one mailing into 2 will save a considerable amount of money in postage alone.

New Business:  A Special Board Meeting was set for July 6th to discuss the re-written By Laws authored by a new attorney, Dan Martin.  After a brief review of the By Laws and Mr. Martin’s invoice ($175/Hr.), the Board decided to cancel the July 6th meeting.  Marge Brown to look into local lawyers and report back her findings.

New format for Treasurer’s Report.  Debby Siebel will explain in detail the new format for the Treasurer’s Report to those in attendance at the General Membership Meeting.

Park:  Dennis Farmer presented the Board with an idea to make the park even more family friendly.  The necessary equipment will be installed for horseshoe pits.  The association members will be responsible to supply their own horseshoes.

Stocking of lake:  Bob Loomer has done extensive research on the kinds of fish that would be best for our lake and found that crappy are a predator of walleye.  He will give the information to the” fish committee” so a better selection of fish will be chosen for future stocking.

Road Treatment:  Shore roads will be graded and treatment applied before the end of June,

Supplies for 2009 General Membership Meeting:  List of items was read by Marge Brown and Board Members volunteered to get the needed items.  Marge Brown will e-mail the list as a reminder.

Adjournment:  Motion made at 12:28PM by Chuck Lewis to adjourn – seconded by Dennis Farmer – motion carried.

On May 19, 2009 – Chuck Lewis motioned to approve $200 for necessary paint as needed and a fire pit ring for the park. Dave Cook seconded the motion – motion carried.
