ABOUT US

We feel our “Mission” is to inform and educate the association members.

The PLHA is made up of a 7 member Board with approximately 60 additional members in the association. There are 155 lakefront homes on Pleasant Lake and the lake is an “All Sports Lake”.. The lake is 269 acres in size, is spring fed, and has a 4 acre island in the middle that is privately owned. The lake is ten miles North of Jackson and twenty five miles South of Lansing and five miles East of US 127.
We have a 22 acre County park on the lake that has 60 campsites. All campsites have water and electric hookups. The Park is open from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. It has a swimming beach and a landing area for visitors watercraft. Camping rates for 2006 were $ 21 per night for a 30 amp hookup, and $23 per night for a 50 amp hookup and there are weekly, monthly, and seasonal rates also. The Park has modern restrooms and showers. There are three picnic shelters that can be reserved, horse shoe pits, a basketball court, a baseball backstop, and a kids playground .
Boat launching is available at the Pleasant Lake General Store and Marina across the lake. The store sells groceries, deli sandwiches, and has a liquor license. There is some parking for vehicles with trailers for those who launch their boats there. The store has 15 rental boat slips that rent by the season. Daily boat launching for 2006 was $10 per boat. The stores phone number is 517 769 6197
Next to the lake is Hankerd Hills 27 hole golf course with a fine restaurant and bar. Their phone number is 517 769 9156. The golf course has many new homes on the East side with some buildable lots still available. The phone number at the golf course is 517 769 2507 . There is a “Bed and Breakfast” on the far side of the golf course.

Pleasant Lake has a very popular and colorful fireworks display around the 4th of July.

We have a “Raft Parade” on the fourth with three different categories of decorations with prizes awarded for each category. For 2007 there is talk of having a parade with floats on roads around the lake.
