The History of the OLPA

The Ore Lake Preservation Association was founded in 1978 by a concerned group of Ore Lake property owners led by Nancy Roberts and Pete Licata dedicated to improving and maintaining the water quality and native species eco-system of Ore Creek, Ore Lake, Little Ore Lake, and the near-by Huron River.

Nancy and Pete passed on this responsibility to any and all current Ore Lake property owners. At present that is mostly Kurt and Carol Richardson, but we would sincerely like to thank Wayne and Mary Florida for their many years of service to this great cause.
