Throughout the Summer, watch for the Shiawassee River Rubber Duckie Races at the Lake Ponemah Sandbar.  Your PST Board will be holding these races to benefit both the Lake Association and Lucky race winners.

$5 per duck.  Adopt as few or as many as you like.  Winning Duck takes 1/2 the total POT.  Special prizes for children!!!

WHAT IS A RUBBER DUCK RACE?  Brightly colored yellow ducks floating down the Shiawassee River as Lake Association Members cheer their adopted ducks and hope they "swim" for prizes.

HOW DOES IT WORK?  Lake Association Members donate $5 to "adopt" a duck. They receive a numbered duck and fill out an entry from. On race day, we release the numbered rubber ducks into the Shiawassee River and the first duck to cross the downstream finish line wins the grand prize for the person who adopted it.  One does not have to be present to win.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE DUCKS? Race volunteers collect the ducks after the race and save them to use again next race.  Young children are welcome to keep their duck.

HOW CAN I ADOPT A DUCK, SPONSOR THE RACE, OR GET MORE INFORMATION? For more information and details on adopting a duck or ducks, Contact the PST social chair Heather Crandall.  OR watch for us out at the Lake Ponemah Sandbar.
