Restoration of some rotting logs in the Noblet Field Station began in September, 1999. The outside portions of these logs were gouged out and replaced with half logs while the inside remained intact.
The logs improve the structural integrity and appearance of the building. This work along with renewing some of the supports under the building ensure the cabin's survival.
2000 - 2001 brought a new roof and porch, removal of some old buildings on the property, new signage, and improvements to the privy.
See "Solar Project" to learn about other improvements at the Noblet Field Station.
