BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING
Call To Order: President Skip Youngblood called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM
Members Present: President Skip Youngblood; Vice President Chuck Cubbage; Treasurer Pat Cubbage; Secretary Doug Dorgan; Collins Cove Rep Ruth Wilkinson; Eagle Lake Campers Rep Skip Youngblood; Eagle Lake Park Rep Chuck Cubbage; Trails End Rep Harold Finley; Hoodrije Shores Rep Ken Nielsen, At-Large Member Gary Sargent.
Members Absent: Palmer Beach Rep David Baker; Eagle Lake Sub Rep Brian Hansen; Keepsake Shores Rep Jerry King; Web Master Barb Kohl.
Minutes: Minutes of the May 11, 2004 meeting were approved on motion by Gary Sargent and second by Chuck Cubbage.
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer advised all bills were paid and there is a balance of $1089.75 in the account. Report was approved on motion by Doug Dorgan and second by Ken Nielsen.
Committee reports:
Government: No Report.
Finance: No report.
Health and Safety: Skip Youngblood reported the sign may have been removed again at the access site .
Water Quality: Chuck Cubbage advised the water level was up about 15 inches from last fall but is still 18 inches below spring 1998. Also, Lake of the Woods in Decatur is having a significant problem with Eurasian Milfoil.
Newsletter: No report.
Nominating Committee: no report
Web Site: Chuck Cubbage advised he and Doug Dorgan had not been able to get together with Barb Kohl to evaluate possible revisions to the ELPPA web site.
Old Business: Arrangements for the annual meeting and breakfast were finalized. Gary Sargent would coordinate with John Tapper and others regarding food, grills for cooking and actual cooking. Pat Cubbage will speak to Sally Ossewaarde regarding providing sweet rolls and/or donuts. Skip will speak with Brian Hansen regarding a large coffee urn and arrange coffee preparation. Chuck Cubbage has received a commitment from High’s Marine to provide several door prizes. Van Buren County Sheriff Department will be represented at the annual meeting. Doug Dorgan has arranged for the tent, tables and chairs and will arrange for a microphone and loud speaker. Chuck Cubbage advised Sue Vomish from MLSA will not available to attend but may send a representative. Chuck will get Doug the name and phone number for the lake assn. rep from Crooked Lake to possibly speak on the benefits of our weevil treatment.
