VAN BUREN CONFERENCE CENTER

TUESDAY April 8, 2003

President Skip Youngblood called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm.

Present were: President Skip Youngblood; Treasurer-Pat Cubbage; Secretary-Bernice Packer; Eagle Lake Campers rep-Skip Youngblood; Eagle Lake Park rep-Chuck Cubbage; Eagle Lake Sub Rep.-Nancy Hansen; Hoodrije Shores rep-Doug Dorgan; Palmer Beach rep- David Baker; Absent were: Keepsake rep.-Casey Andrews; Trails End rep.- Harold Finley; Member at Large rep-John Tapper. Past President-Glen Wilkinson; Collins Cove rep-Ruth Wilkinson.

The minutes were passed out and read. Chuck Cubbage moved to accept the minutes as presented. Dave Baker 2nd. Motion passed.

Pat Cubbage gave the treasurer’s report of $1934.51 in checking. $50.00 was sent to MLSSA for the web site. The new website is: www.mlswa.org/elppa-382.

David Baker gave the website for the Lansing Law Division. It is www. . He will get 100 water craft brochures to be handed out at the annual meeting.

Skip Youngblood expressed concern about kids riding on front of boats. This is very unsafe.

Chuck Cubbage commented about the weevil. They start moving back into the water in March. He will do a synopsis for the newsletter. Information is available at: www.fw.umn.edu/research/milfoil/milfoilbc.html. We can send data and they will analyze.

Chuck will ask Enviro Science representative to be present at annual meeting.

-The water is down 28” since Spring of 1998.

Bernice Packer will send lists of addresses to the representatives for corrections so a new data base can be set up.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:11 pm.
