Transcribed from original minutesEAGLE LAKE PAW PAW ASSNBOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETINGMAY 15, 2002President Skip Youngblood called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM Present were: Skip Youngblood, Doug Dorgan, Russ Bereolos, Chuck Cubbage, Pat Cubbage, Ruth Wilkinson, Bernice Packer, Brian Hansen. The Minutes were handed out and read. Chuck Cubbage moved to accept the minutes as presented. Doug Dorgan 2nd. Motion passed. Pat Cubbage gave the treasurer’s report with $2,991.24 in the account. She commented the “Breakfast Bills” from the Annual Meeting have not been received from John Tapper. Doug Dorgan gave a report on the Watershed Management program he and Chuck Cubbage attended. He feels there will be a lot of pressure to change things the way they are presently done, ie. Septic tanks, fertilizer, etc. There are a lot of people interested in protecting water quality. Government action and general public working together. He felt the program was very worthwhile and educational. Chuck Cubbage commented he would like to see the ELPPA move toward being against burning leaves. He suggested possibility of having a work bee in helping people dispose of their leaves especially those who are unable to do it themselves. Comment was made the “Weevil Sites” need to be marked so the areas are more visible. Doug Dorgan commented he has contacted the Sheriff Department in regards to the Annual Meeting. He will contact them regarding handouts. The Annual Meeting was discussed ie. Agenda, Food, “job duties” etc. The lake is now 7 inches lower than Spring of 1998 when it was an “all time high”/ Doug called the DNR re the slabs at the access site. They will not be putting the slabs in until this fall. Next meeting is June 11, 2002. Pat Cubbage moved to adjourn at 7:55 pm. Ruth Wilkinson 2nd. Respectfully submitted, Bernice Packer, Secretary |
