Board of Director’s Meeting

Van Buren Conference Center

Tuesday, March 13, 2001

President Glen Wilkinson called the meeting to order at 7:00pm.

Present were:  President- Glen Wilkinson; Vice President-Tom Kohl; Secretary-Bernice Packer; Keepsake-Jerry King; Palmer Beach-David Baker; Trails End-Harold Finley; Eagle Lake Campers-Skip Youngblood; Hoodrije-Rich Marcinek;.  Absent: Treasurer-Pat Cubbage Eagle Lake Park-Chuck Cubbage; Collins Cove-Matt Leighton; Member at Large-John Tapper; Eagle Lake Subdivision-Brian Hanson.

The minutes were handed out and read by Secretary Bernice Packer.  The minutes were corrected to read “one year assessment”.  The assessment for the weed control will be for one year only at $141.42 per lot with the back lots assessed at half the amount.  Jerry King moved to approve the minutes as corrected.  Skip Youngblood 2nd.  Motion passed.

There was no Treasurer’s report.

The weed control contract is signed and is all set to go.  Glen talked with the assessor and any lots adjacent to each other are considered as one unit.  In a couple of cases the assessor changed that around.  Glen has not been in contact with EnviroScience but he will find out when they will start.

Government Committee: Tom Kohl.  The assessment is due by July 1, 2001.  Interest will be charged after that date.  Tom stated John Faul is off of the Government Committee.

Health and Safety: No report.

Newsletter: A newsletter will be aimed to get out the end of May or first part of June.

Finance: No report.

Ruth Wilkinson suggested talking with Enviro Science re informing the lake front people what care is necessary to encourage the wintering of the beetles ie leaving the weeds at the edge for the weevils.  Information will be got from Enviro Science.

Glen Wilkinson commented Ackley Lake costs with their weed control is several times of what our’s is.

Discussion turned to the Annual Meeting.  The date will be Saturday, June 30, 2001.  The idea of a potluck picnic was suggested.  It was thought to be a good idea.  This will be discussed further at the next meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm.
