Flatstem Pondweed(Potamogeton zosteriformis Fern.) This pondweed is named for its flat stems that are between 1 and 5 millimeters wide. Stems usually form angles where leaves join them, giving the plant a zig-zag appearance, especially on older portions of the plant. Stipules are present but may be overlooked because they wrap around the stems. |
