~ Sanford Lake Association Information ~
The association is comprised of current and former Sanford lakeshore or lake - access homeowners. It is an independent organization, separate from other government - based organizations. It is funded solely from membership dues.
~ To Develop a Partnership with your lake neighbors. ~ To gain awareness of your neighbor's lake interest.
~ To raise awareness of lake issues in the community. ~ To launch fundraising events and apply for grants.
~ To gain strength in numbers for group concerns so they can be constructively represented to local
government officials or agencies. ~ To gain a historical perspective for long - time residents.
~ To collect data on a broad range of lake concerns ( water quality, development, lake use conflicts , etc.)
~ To gather information and present educational programs for our membership and those near the lake.
~ To develop a long - range lake management plan. ~ To act as a support group for members.
The S.L.A. meets on the third Tuesday of the month ( but not every month! ) at the Sanford village conference room.
