Region Eleven Newsletter Update April 29, 2008

Michigan Lake and Stream Association just completed its 47^th Annual Conference and again it was very successful.  There were many old faces and many young new faces attending this conference.

For a while it looked as if the conference may not take place because of the forest fire right by the Ramada Inn Conference Center, but because of the firefighters and how they tackled this problem the conference went on as planned, so ML&SA owes them a big THANK YOU!

 The selection of speakers was well received and many good comments were given about them and also the venue.  At this time we don’t know where the 48^th conference will be but keep watching the Riparian magazine, ML&SA newsletter and my WEB site, we’ll announce it as soon as possible.

 Four of the ML&SA regions, seven, nine, ten and eleven will hold a group fall one day seminar at BJ’s restaurant in Gaylord on Saturday August 23, 2008.  More about the seminar later on this summer so keep checking the WEB site for ML&SA at www.mlswa.org

 If anyone needs help I’m always available by phone or fax the numbers are both the same.  I would like to hear from the associations about their upcoming annual meetings, if you  have a newsletter please send me a copy I enjoy reading and hearing what is taking place on your lakes.
