Each Year during the fourth week of April representatives from the PBWOA attend the Annual Michigan Lakes and Streams Conference held at Boyne Mountain for 3 days.

Lake associations from all across the state participate in seminars, workshops, and forums.

Topics include Lake Monitoring Programs, Fisheries Management, Public Access, Funding Sources for Lake Management, Watershed Zoning and Planning, Storm Water and Runoff, Sediment and Contaminates,  State Legislative Update, and Controlling Aquatic Plants--to name a few.
