Waterway Cleanup
This picture of an egret was taken in the Rio Dos Mangas in the rain forest of southern Ecuador. Even up in the unpopulated, little traveled region, pollution has marred the beauty of this area.
It may be the same along the shores of your lake or along the river/stream that you live on. If so, there is something that you can do about it…
For the Waterway Clean Up Activity, we are asking that you target a specific area and then go and clean it up. Pick up any trash that you might find around (or even in) the water. While this is probably the simplest of activities, pollution can dramatically affect not just the aesthetics of the water but can also affect the natural habitat in and around the water.
Waterway Cleanup form: MS Word Format or PDF Format
The waterway Cleanup form is in MS Word or PDF 7.0. Use the MS Word format if you are going to fill out the form electronically and e-mail as an attachment. Use the PDF Format if you are going to fill out the form by hand and mail it in.
