Winter 2007/08 ~ Here are the latest pictures taken of the
Evans Lake Dam.
2007 ~ Evans Lake Dam Status
The Dam is showing signs of wear ~ leaking on both sides and starting
to leak through the dyke walls. A lot of Muskrat activity has
been around the Dam, causing damage to the dyke walls. Fur
trapping this fall by Jim Budde and Jeff Fineske brought a total of 51
Muskrats out of the area.
2005 ~ Dam Repair Project
The Fish Committee & several residents & friends of Evans Lake
completed the repairs needed to the Dam. An Aluminum face shield
on the front and a rubber backing was installed on the back side of the
Dam. The rubber backing helps seal to prevent leaking. There was
also a new cap placed on top. Thanks to all who helped with the
project: Jerry Haag, Kenny Lynn, Chuck Case, John Ost, Mike
Vanzant, Scott Vanzant, Joe Talamonti, Gary Miller, Brentson McIntyre
(delivery), Jim Budde, Mark Withrow (for backhoe work), Lori Daudelin,
Doug Secord, Todd Barber (for permission), Jeff Fineske, & Cheryl
Lynn (pick up aluminum).
