We reviewed copies of the financial statement.

Motion adopted unanimously

 

Lakewide Fish Fry

August 11 - Well attended ( approx 225) - $875 profit - verbal & written thank you's for organizing.  LeRoy Case thanked everyone for setup & cleanup.

 

Fish Committee Report  - Jeff Fineske, Chairman

 

Fall 2007 Fish Stocking - scheduled for late October or early November:

·         20 Lbs. Fathead Minnows

·         100 4-6" Redear Sunfish

·         300 5-7" Smallmouth Bass

·         1,100 6-8" Walleye

 

Conservation & Preservation Update - Jeff Fineski

Released 24 pheasants 8/25/07 - mixed hens & roosters



Spring Election

Positions we will be voting on next May:  President, Secretary and three Trustee positions.

September  8-16 is the next scheduled pickup.  All are welcome and encouraged to join in.

Dam Report

We've been working to clear the earth dykes of brush and will continue in earnest this fall when the leaves drop.

 

Fourth of July Boat Parade

26 boats participated
1st Place ~ 2nd Place ~ 3rd Place

Our Spring Evans Lake Landowners Association meeting is scheduled for May 18, 2007 at 10:00 am at Sand Lake Fire Department.

 

 


Unfinished Business:

ELLOA Website
We can have a website through Michigan Lakes & Streams (least expensive) for $50 a year.  Cheryl Slusher has volunteered to be WebMaster and to maintain the site.
Motion to establish and maintain a website through Michigan Lakes & Streams as proposed - Ann Murphy      Second - Jim Pavelka
Motion passed by approx 80% - this satisfies the bylaw requirement of 2/3 vote to reverse previous denial of website.
The board will notify the membership of site address as soon as possible.

Algae blooms may be toxic so beware of them especially for children & pets.
