- Web Master - So, we need a self-motivated individual
who is comfortable with computers. Web publishing experience is not a
necessity. We use Microsoft Front Page to develop & update our web
page & will provide the most gracious volunteer the software & assistance to
achieve at least our level of proficiency with this software. More
important then technical experience, which can be developed by anyone with
time & effort, we need someone willing to take the web site on as their
responsibility. Someone willing to chase board members down for
information, use their imagination to develop the human interest side of our
web page that is most sadly lacking, and who will insure that timely
environmental information of interest is posted. This could be a board
member position, or not, at the volunteer's preference. Please give
this consideration. We are not good at this because we are doing to
many other tasks. Someone needs to focus on just this.
- Association Officers and Board Members - At our May
membership meeting we will hold our annual election of officers. A
healthy organization is one with a vital active membership reflected in a
demonstrated interest in participation. Vacant officer positions, or the
same folks running over & over again, unopposed, this is not a good sign.
If you, understandably, prefer to get involved more slowly then to dive
right in on an officer position, please consider running for a board
position. At this time we we have no limit on board members. If
you have an interest in Cedar Lake. If you can attend a monthly board
meeting on Saturday once a month from May thru December. If you have
the time to get involved in one or two lake projects of your choosing, we
need you on the board. This current crop of officers. most of whom
were re-elected in May 09, are serving their 3rd or more term. Some will not be running again in 2011.
We need folks on the board who are are up to speed on the lake work, who can
step in, in 2011 & keep the important work of Cedar Lake going. If you value
this association, you need to get involved to the degree that you are able.
