The web site is being marginally maintained at the most minimal level by an overworked lake association board member.  Unless we can get someone to take this job on, this situation will not improve, in fact, the web page is in danger of being dropped.  No information is better than dated or even incorrect information. 

  • A Lake Conditions page has been set up for 2009, click on "News" and then "09' Lake Conditions" for current water level, water temperature and rainfall information.  Final update February 28, 2010.
  • Lake Board passes two resolution to proceed with an augmentation pilot!  Click on "News" for details. UPDATED 9/16/09
  • Couldn't make the Pre-Public Hearing educational session on the augmentation pilot?  Click on : Slide 1 to download the Power Point overheads that were used in the session.
  • June 27th Lakefront Landscaping Presentation Visuals - For the few who attended this workshop & for those who couldn't, but might be interested in a taste of what will be given once again on August 8th, you may click on the following link to view the PowerPoint presentation used by Bill Carpenter of the MSU extension in Tawas: Slide 1  This is a sizeable download, so, be patient, it may take awhile.
  • WMP Steering Committee & Lake Board meetings - The final meeting of the steering committee was January 5, 2010.  Kieser is formulating a draft WMP.
  • The Fall Aquatic Plant Survey was completed October 10th.  Click on "Lake Info" and then on "Aquatic Plant Mgmt" for details.
  • The Minutes of the membership meeting for August 29, 2009 have been posted. Click on "Secretary's Corner"
  • A link to the February 2010 newsletter has been posted to the web page.  Click on "Newsletter".

  • In 2008 SEAS LLC was contracted by the lake improvement lake board to conduct a number of studies to lay the ground work for the development of a fishery management plan for Cedar Lake.  Also the AICLA contracted SEAS directly to assist in a an effort to improve in-lake spawning.     • Posted July 1st 2009, the report on the 2008 June - October Creel Survey,
    • Posted June 19th 2009, the 2008 pike spawning evaluation report,
    • Posted May 20th 2009, the 2008 Fishery Assessment Report,

  • May 13th 2009, the 2008 Cedar Lake Water Quality Report is completed.  Click on "Water Quality" and then on "2008 Work" to get to the links for the report & charts.
  • Click on "Lake Info" and then on "Lake Hydrology" to obtain a copy of the legal opinion of the AICLA attorney and a summary of a meeting with the DEQ regarding the lake lowering effect of the Lakewood Shores Drain.

  • Automated Data Loggers - Click on "News" to read about the automation of ground & surface water movement monitoring through our watershed.
  • ****SUPPORT YOUR ASSOCIATION****. Click on "Membership Info" to view aNEWly Updated (9/20/09) membership list.  PLEASE make sure your name in on that list!   It is most important that the association's membership includes at least 51% of lakefront property owners.  Is your membership expired?  Not a member, but you would like to join the effort to support Cedar Lake?  Click "Membership Info" tab to download an application to mail in.  If you live on Cedar Lake, association membership is in your best interest!!

  • The 2008 Cedar Lake Lakefront Property Owner Survey which was attached to the membership renewal application has been concluded, and the responses have been analyzed.  Click on the "Membership Info" tab to see the report.  Posted February 26, 2009.

  • A 2009 Cedar Lake Lakefront Property Owner Survey has been completed (March 21, 2009).  Please click on "Membership Info" and refer to "AICLA Membership Info".  At the bottom of that report is a link to obtain a membership application.  The Survey is included with the application.  If you do not need to renew your membership, or prefer not to belong to the association (especially the later), please complete the survey portion & send it in to us.  We need your feedback.

The AICLA, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes.  Specifically, the development, understanding, and application of scientific principles involved in the management and stewardship of the Cedar Lake environment and its watershed, and the education of the community of its individual and collective responsibilities involved in the effective management of that natural resource.
