The "Legal Lake Level", established in 1972, is:
755.0 feet above sea level in the Summer (April 1^st to October 1^st)
753.0 feet above sea level in the Winter (October 1^st to April 1^st)

Sites Where Secchi Disk Readings Are Taken

The first Secchi Disk tests were done on May 9^th.

Northwest Cove with a depth of 26’ had a 17.25' (May 6, 2005 = 12.75')

Little Baldwin with a depth of 26’ had a 17.5’ (May 6, 2005 = 10.5')

The Deep Basin with a depth of 57’ had a 25.25' (May 6, 2005 = 13')

The South End with a depth of 37’ had a 18’ (May 6, 2005 = 12.25')

The Lake Level on 5/15/2006 was 755.15 ft

The second Secchi Disk tests were done on May 22^nd & the Level was 755.1 ft.

Northwest Cove with a depth of 26’ had a 18' (May 18, 2005 = 12.5')

Little Baldwin with a depth of 26’ had a 13.5’ (May 18, 2005 = 11.5')

The Deep Basin with a depth of 57’ had a 20' (May 18, 2005 = 12.75')

The South End with a depth of 37’ had a 18.5’ (May 18, 2005 = 12')

The third Secchi Disk tests were done on May 31^st & the Level was 755.08 ft.

Northwest Cove with a depth of 26’ had a 13' (June 9, 2005 = 12')

Little Baldwin with a depth of 26’ had a 11’ (June 9, 2005 = 12.2')

The Deep Basin with a depth of 57’ had a 18' (June 9, 2005 = 13')

The South End with a depth of 37’ had a 15.25’ (June 9, 2005 = 12')

The fourth Secchi Disk tests were done on June 19^th & the Level was 754.9 ft.

Northwest Cove with a depth of 26’ had a 11.5' (June 22, 2005 = 10')

Little Baldwin with a depth of 26’ had a 15’ (June 22, 2005 = 14')

The Deep Basin with a depth of 57’ had a 11.5' (June 22, 2005 = 12.5')

The South End with a depth of 37’ had a 13’ (June 22, 2005 = 12.25')

The fifth Secchi Disk tests were done on June 30^th & the Level was 754.88 ft.

The sixth Secchi Disk tests were done on July 18^th & the Level was 755.16 ft.

Little Baldwin with a depth of 26’ had a 16’ (July 13, 2005 = 8.5')

The Deep Basin with a depth of 57’ had a 10.5' (July 13, 2005 = 10')

The South End with a depth of 37’ had a 10.75’ (July 13, 2005 = 10.25')

The seventh Secchi Disk tests were done on August 3^rd & the Level was 755.24 ft.

Northwest Cove with a depth of 26’ had a 9.25' (July 28, 2005 = 8.25')

Little Baldwin with a depth of 26’ had a 14.25’ (July 28, 2005 = 8')

The Deep Basin with a depth of 57’ had a 9.25' (July 28, 2005 = 6.75')

The South End with a depth of 37’ had a 9.5’ (July 28, 2005 = 7')

The eighth Secchi Disk tests were done on August 17^th & the Level was 754.94 ft.

Little Baldwin with a depth of 26’ had a 11’ (August 10, 2005 = 8.75')

The Deep Basin with a depth of 57’ had a 8.5' (August 10, 2005 = 8.5')

The South End with a depth of 37’ had a 8’ (August 10, 2005 = 8.25')

The ninth Secchi Disk tests were done on September 6^th & the Level was 754.92 ft.

Northwest Cove with a depth of 26’ had a 13.25' (August 27, 2005 = 9')

Little Baldwin with a depth of 26’ had a 14’ (August 27, 2005 = 9.5')

The Deep Basin with a depth of 57’ had a 15.25' (August 27, 2005 = 10')

The South End with a depth of 37’ had a 14.25’ (August 27, 2005 = 9')

The 2006 Average Lake Level was 755.04 ft and the 2006 Average Secchi reading for the Lake was 13.44 feet
